Russian ballistic missile attack on Mykolaiv: many private houses damaged, five wounded reported

One missile hit near a road, causing damage to two cars that were on the street at the time. One of the vehicles was almost completely burned.

Several houses along the street were also heavily damaged: some were partially damaged, while others saw their roofs completely or partially destroyed and windows shattered.

The head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vitaliy Kim clarified on national television that five people have been injured, including one currently in intensive care. Another is in moderate condition, while three others are under examination.

"There are no deaths at the moment," he added.

According to Kim, three cars were damaged, and the windows and roofs of more than 10 houses were damaged.

The OVA head said that patrol police quickly blocked traffic two blocks after the first hit.

“There would have been more casualties if the patrol police had not blocked the traffic in time," Kim noted.

"I believe this was the same kind of Iskander weapon that hit Odesa the other day," he said.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych confirmed the explosion in the city.

Previously, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic missile attacks from the south.
