The Russian military targeted a school in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi,
Odesa Oblast, killing two people and injuring at least 14, Odesa regional
governor Oleh Kiper said on June 23.
According to a statement from the State Emergency Service,
two teenagers were among the injured. First responders are still looking to see
if anyone remains trapped under the rubble.
The school was struck by two ballistic missiles, just one day after the annual graduation ceremony held there. According to Kiper, about 18 people were inside at the time of the attack. Among the injured were two 11th-grade students.
“Adults from the teaching staff could still be under the rubble,” Kiper wrote in a Telegram post.
“Thankfully, the children were on summer break, so there were no students in the facility.”
