Russian bombing in Sumy Oblast results in one death, two wounded

Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in the Shostka district of Sumy Oblast on Oct. 1, using guided aerial bombs, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old woman and injuries to two others, the local prosecutor's office reported on Telegram

The Russian attack tentatively involved four guided aerial bombs.

As a result of the attack, a 45-year-old woman who was on the premises of her own home was killed. Her 47-year-old husband and another person were also injured, according to the statement.

A pre-trial investigation is underway for violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the prosecutor's office said.

The Sumy Oblast Military Administration reported earlier on Oct. 1 that Russian forces carried out 40 shellings of border territories and settlements in Sumy Oblast overnight and in the morning. A total of 82 explosions were recorded.
