Russia pounds Ukraine with 358 missiles and drones in deadly overnight attack

The military said Russia launched 284 Shahed, Gerbera and
Italmas drones, along with Parodiya decoys. The 74 missiles included:
- 4 Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles
- 9 Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles
- 61 Kh-101/Kalibr cruise missiles
Air defenses intercepted or otherwise neutralized 265 drones
and 55 missiles — one Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missile and 54
Kh-101/Kalibr cruise missiles.
Kyiv and Lviv oblasts were the primary targets of the overnight
attack. Russia also attacked Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Mykolaiv
and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts.
The Air Force said Russia simultaneously used several types
of missiles and drones along multiple attack routes, including large numbers of
ballistic and cruise missiles.
Three anti-ship missiles, six ballistic missiles, two cruise
missiles and 17 attack drones struck 20 locations. Debris from downed targets
fell at 13 locations. The military said information about eight missiles was
still being verified.
Russia’s drone attack remained underway as of 9 a.m., the
military warned.
The July 30 attack — key details
Explosions were reported in several cities during Russia’s
massive overnight attack on Ukraine on July 30.
Russian missiles struck residential buildings in Lviv,
injuring more than 20 people. Crews continued searching through the rubble.
Ballistic missile strikes sparked fires in two Kyiv
districts, killing one person.
A Russian strike on the home of a large family in Kryvyi Rih
killed two children and four adults. Explosions were also reported in Poltava,
Vinnytsia, Sumy, Dnipro and other cities.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said eight people were killed
across Ukraine in the overnight attack.
A powerful explosion was heard in Poland overnight. A crater
and debris were later found in a field.
