"The road to Kostiantynivka. The road of death or life, depending on your luck," said Liberov.
“Burnt cars, equipment, trucks with water and food that never made it to their destinations — the results of Russian FPV drones. Soldiers enter and leave the city on foot, and the road itself is littered with thousands of shell casings.”
To document events in Kostiantynivka, Liberov entered the city alongside defenders from the 28th Mechanized Brigade. During one such trip, an enemy drone that could not be shot down crashed near the group, wounding an artilleryman whose position the photographer and brigade fighters were heading toward.
"The shooting doesn't stop for a second," Liberov added.
“At one point, the radar showed that more than a hundred drones were flying over us at the same time, both ours and theirs. It's like the future has arrived, with drones fighting, but people are still dying.”
The video, provided to the photographer by 28th Brigade defenders, shows Russia carrying out intense attacks on Kostiantynivka. The aggressor spares no one, including civilians trying to evacuate to safer areas.
"This is not an AI-generated video, this is reality," wrote Liberov, crediting the author of the photo is Serhiy Belinskyi.
“The city is being wiped off the face of the earth, sparing no one and nothing. In the photo [the photo is part of the video — ed.], a local is trying to leave the city on his bicycle. The operator of the Russian FPV drone that tore him to pieces could clearly see that he was a civilian. There is nothing alive in these creatures.”
