Russia faced multiple drone attacks overnight, including a fire at the Sukhoi Design Bureau in Moscow, one of Russia's leading aviation equipment developers, including Sukhoi aircraft.
Explosions were heard in Russia’s Kursk Oblast on the morning of June 14. Relevant videos with the sounds of explosions appeared on social media. Subsequently, the acting governor of Kursk Oblast, Alexei Smirnov, claimed the downing of five drones in the region.
Drones attacked an oil depot and seriously damaged fuel tanks in Voronezh Oblast, said regional governor Aleksandr Gusev.
An attempt was also made to attack an oil depot with unmanned aerial vehicles from an ultra-low altitude in the Liski district of Voronezh Oblast.
"Several UAVs slightly damaged fuel tanks, according to preliminary information," Gusev wrote.
“Fire was prevented. No one was injured. Emergency services are currently working at the site. The accident response is ongoing. The damage to the facility is being clarified.”
Locals reported overnight explosions in Morozovsk, Rostov Oblast. A fire broke out in the town.
Russian combat aircraft Su-34, Su-24, and Su-24M are based at the military airfield in Morozovsk.
Air defense forces allegedly successfully repelled a massive UAV attack in Rostov Oblast, regional governor Vasily Golubev said.
"The drones were destroyed near several settlements in the region," he wrote.
“There were no casualties, according to preliminary data. The consequences on the ground are being clarified.”
Residents of several streets in Morozovsk reportedly lost power after the UAV attack.
The air defense system also shot down five allegedly "Ukrainian drones" in the sky over Kursk Oblast.
