Russia hits Kharkiv with drones, apartment block and bus stop struck

One of the strikes hit near a public transport stop, damaging a city bus and injuring the driver, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.

Later, the enemy launched a second strike on the Kyivskyi district — a Shahed drone hit a multi-story residential building.

3:33 p.m. Terekhov reported another UAV strike in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The mayor said that, preliminarily, an educational institution was hit.

Information on casualties is being clarified.

2:37 p.m. Five people have been reported injured in Kharkiv, the mayor said.

1:57 p.m. In the Kyivskyi district, three people were injured after a strike on a multi-story residential building. In particular, women aged 56 and 61 suffered acute stress reactions. Information on the third victim is being clarified, the regional administration said.

Terekhov clarified that the strike hit the top floor of the residential building, and cars were damaged in the courtyard. He also published a video of the moment the Shahed drone struck the building.

Russia carried out a repeat strike, with another enemy UAV hitting near a high-rise building, Terekhov said. Regional governor Oleh Synehubov said grass caught fire at the strike site.

Ukraine’s Air Force warned of new attack UAVs heading toward Kharkiv from the north.

On April 3, Russian forces carried out the most powerful strike on Kharkiv since the start of the year and one of the largest during the full-scale war. A total of 37 hits were recorded across 18 locations, damaging 25 residential apartment buildings and three non-residential structures, most of them in the Kyivskyi district.
