One person was killed in a double-tap Russian drone strike at an industrial site on the outskirts of Sumy, regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported on Telegram early on Sep. 12.
The body of a deceased security guard was found under the rubble.
The man had been in contact after the first strike but did not respond after the second.

A fire broke out at the attack site, damaging vehicles and non-residential buildings.
Emergency efforts are ongoing.
That same morning, the enemy carried out a missile strike on the Bytytskyi starostat. The consequences of the strike are being verified.
On Sep. 11, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) reported that several buildings, including a school, had been seriously damaged and partially destroyed in a Russian drone attack on Sumy shortly after midnight.
