Damage reported in seven oblasts as Russia launches 174 drones overnight, Ukraine downs 90

Ukraine’s air defense shot down 90 drones over the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Odesa oblasts. Another 70 drones were lost due to locational issues, with no reported consequences.

The Air Force added that the Russian attack caused damage in seven regions — Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kyiv oblasts.

Earlier on March 17, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration reported power outages in two districts due to the attack. Poltava Oblast Military Administration also confirmed electricity disruptions in some areas.

Near Kyiv, 37 drones were detected overnight, with air defense successfully downing 25 of them, according to Kyiv City Military Administration.
