Russian forces launched 210 Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmaz UAVs in an overnight attack on Ukraine, the Air Force reported on May 1.

140 of the drones were of a Shahed type.

Ukrainian defense forces repelled the attack using aviation, anti-aircraft missiles, EW (electronic warfare), UAVs, and mobile fire groups.

As of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defense managed to neutralize 190 Russian UAVs.

20 UAVs hit 14 locations, with debris falling in dozens of places, the Armed Forces reported.

On May 1, Russian forces attacked Odesa overnight, hitting residential buildings, and causing fires to break out. Casualties were sustained in the attack. The strikes set fire to a 16-story building. A second high-rise building was also struck, causing a fire to break out on the 12th and 13th floors. Emergency crews are working at the scene. Izmail came under attacks as well.
