Russian forces launched 93 attack drones, including about 60 Shahed-type UAVs, at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force said, noting other types such as Gerbera and Italmas were also used on Apr. 5.

Russian forces launched drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.

As of 8 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 76 enemy drones.

Seventeen strike drones hit targets at 10 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at three locations, the military said.

On the evening of April 4, Russia carried out a missile strike on the Popivka community in the Sumy region, injuring two people, while drones also attacked Odesa.

As a result of the attack on Odesa, cars and a balcony of a residential building caught fire in one of the districts. Preliminary reports indicate two people were injured, regional governor Serhii Lysak said.

Head of the Sumy city military administration Serhii Kryvosheienko said a Russian drone hit a parking area in Sumy, damaging two passenger cars. No one was injured in that strike, but in the same area a 52-year-old man was wounded in a Molniya drone attack and was hospitalized.
