Russia fires 273 drones at Ukraine overnight, focusing strike on Odesa

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 273 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types and other drones overnight into March 28, the Ukrainian Air Force reported. About 180 of them were Shaheds.

According to the military, the main direction of the Russian strike was Odesa Oblast.

As of 7:30 a.m., air defense neutralized 252 enemy UAVs. As a result of the attack, 21 drones struck 18 locations, while downed targets and debris fell at nine locations.

The Air Force added that after 7:00 a.m. the aggressor launched repeated drone strikes on Odesa Oblast and other areas in northern and eastern Ukraine. The results of combat work are being clarified.

Odesa city authorities reported that two people were killed and 11 injured as a result of the massive Russian attack on the city. One UAV hit the roof of a maternity hospital; all patients and medical staff were in a shelter. Apartment buildings were also damaged in three districts of Odesa.

Russia also attacked Kryvyi Rih and Poltava Oblast overnight, with at least three people killed in those regions.
