Fourth attack in two weeks: Russian forces strike DTEK energy facility in Odesa Oblast

“This is already the fourth attack on the region’s power system in two weeks. As soon as emergency crews receive clearance from rescue workers, they will begin restoration work,” the company stated.

The night before, on March 3, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on Odesa, injuring four people.

Local authorities reported that the assault also damaged energy infrastructure, residential buildings, two kindergartens, and a business center.

That same night, Russian troops targeted another DTEK energy facility in the region, causing damage.

On the evening of March 4, Russia again launched a large-scale attack on Odesa and Odesa Oblast.

According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Oblast Military Administration, the strike damaged critical infrastructure in the regional center, leaving parts of the city without electricity, water, and heating.

Additionally, debris from downed Russian drones damaged private homes in Odesa’s suburbs. A 77-year-old man in the village of Lymanka died from shrapnel wounds, Kiper reported.

Russian forces also attacked the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district with a ballistic missile that struck an empty sanatorium. The building was almost completely destroyed, but no casualties were reported, Kiper added.
