Russia launched drones from the directions of Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Ukraine’s Air Force said.
As of 8:30 a.m., Ukraine’s air defenses had shot down or suppressed 131 enemy drones in the north, south and east of the country.
Authorities recorded one ballistic missile strike and hits by 23 attack drones across 20 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell in six locations.
Consequences of Russia’s May 20 attack
In Dnipro, two people were killed and six injured in the Russian attack. A 42-year-old woman and men aged 47 and 25 were hospitalized in serious condition. Two other men, aged 47 and 40, were hospitalized in moderate condition, while a 27-year-old man will receive outpatient treatment. Russian forces struck food warehouses, causing fires.
In Konotop in Sumy Oblast, at least eight people were injured in a massive overnight Shahed drone attack on May 20. Russian troops struck an apartment building, causing floors between the second and fourth stories to collapse. Rescuers managed to save three people.
Explosions were heard overnight in Konotop. Mayor Artem Semenikhin said three floors of the building had collapsed and rescue operations were ongoing. Other residential and administrative buildings in the city were also damaged.
In addition, civilian and critical infrastructure facilities in Odesa Oblast were damaged during Russia’s overnight mass attack on May 20.
In Odesa, a drone struck a single-story residential building, completely destroying it. A warehouse storing tableware and an unfinished high-rise building were also damaged.
