Russian forces launch two missiles, nearly 100 drones in overnight attack against Ukraine

Russian forces launched two Kh-59/69 cruise missiles from occupied Crimea and 94 Shahed, jet-powered Shahed, Gerbera, Italmaz, and Banderol UAVs, along with Parodiya decoy drones, against Ukraine overnight on July 20, the Air Force reported.

Russian forces launched drone strikes from: Millerovo and Orel in Russia, Donetsk in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

As of 08:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or neutralized 81 enemy UAVs in the north, south, and east. 

One missile and nine UAVs made impact at nine locations. The Air Force added that the second missile did not reach its target.

Russia attacked Ukraine using Shahed drones and KAB guided aerial bombs overnight on July 20. An air raid alert was issued across several oblasts and regions. A drone struck a gas station in Kharkiv. Explosions were reported in Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhya.

Russia carried out a massive ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on July 19. Debris and fires were reported in the capital's Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Solomyanskyi districts. The attack damaged residential buildings, non-residential structures, offices, and a dormitory. At least one person was killed and 17 others were wounded.
