Russia has lost more than 3,600 tanks in Ukraine, says British intelligence

Russia has lost over 3,600 main battle tanks and nearly 8,000 armored vehicles since the start of its full-scale invasion, the UK Ministry of Defense reported on social media on Dec. 17.
The report says this has led to the use of outdated Soviet-era equipment from strategic storage.

British intelligence has released images showing a significant decrease in the number of armored vehicles at tank depots in Arsenyev, Buya, and Ulan-Ude since 2022.
