Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK said that after the massive strike, power engineers restored electricity for nearly 100,000 households in Odesa Oblast. Partial power supply was also restored to critical infrastructure sites.
On Dec. 13, Russian forces carried out one of the most massive strikes on Odesa Oblast. Overnight, damage was recorded to civilian sites, energy and industrial infrastructure in the region. Fires broke out from the strikes; administrative buildings and energy facilities were damaged. Power outages occurred in some areas.
Odesa city military administration head Serhiy Lysak reported that due to the massive enemy attack on Odesa, energy infrastructure sites lost power. Most of the city lost heating and water supply.
Overnight into Dec. 12, Russian troops attacked Odesa and the region with drones. The Russian strike damaged a civilian vessel in Chornomorsk port and energy sites, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
