Odesa’s
iconic sea terminal and its famous hotel, which has been closed for several
years, were severely damaged in Russia’s ruthless overnight missile and drone attack that set the city's landmarks ablaze.
Plans were already in motion to renovate and reopen the hotel after Ukrainian entrepreneur Andriy Stavnitser, co-owner and CEO of TIS, the country’s largest port, had purchased a stake from private investors and sealed a deal t make it happen.
"Everything will be fine. We will rebuild everything. You won’t get it, you bastards. Odesa will be as beautiful as you can imagine in your nightmares," Stavnitser wrote on his Facebook page.
One person was injured, a grain storage facility was destroyed, and damage to a business and a house were also reported as a result of the Russian Onyx hypersonic missile strike on Odesa.
