Two missiles struck the facility. Twelve people were injured — four were hospitalized and eight were treated and released, the source said. There were no fatalities.
All employees at the plant made it to bomb shelters in time.
Flex has operated in Ukraine since 2000, initially in cooperation with the radio plant in Berehove. In 2012, the company built an electronics manufacturing plant in Mukachevo, mukachevo.net reported.
In 2018, Flex launched a new plastics molding plant in Mukachevo.
Founded in 1969, Flex is one of the world’s largest electronics manufacturers. The company employs 172,000 people and has more than 100 production sites in 30 countries.
As reported earlier, overnight into Aug. 21, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 614 drones and missiles; Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 577 incoming threats.
Impacts from missiles and drones were recorded at 11 locations, with debris from downed targets falling at three locations, the Air Force said.
In Lviv, one person was killed and three were injured in a combined attack that damaged dozens of buildings.
Russian missiles also struck Zaporizhzhya, damaging several industrial infrastructure sites.
