Russian drone and artillery strikes on Nikopol injure 10, including 75-year-old woman

Russian forces again struck Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with artillery and drones, regional administration head Oleksandr Hanzha said on Apr. 1.

“Ten people were injured. Russian forces attacked using FPV drones and artillery. Five women and five men were wounded. Two people were hospitalized. A 75-year-old woman is in serious condition. A 49-year-old victim is in moderate condition,” the official wrote.

On March 30, Russian forces attacked Nikopol with an FPV drone. Eight people were injured in the strike. The regional governor said four women and four men were wounded. They were diagnosed with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds and fractures.

On March 31, Russian forces again carried out a drone attack on Nikopol, injuring 11 people. Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said three people were hospitalized. A 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman are in serious condition, while a 25-year-old victim is in moderate condition.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force said Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight on April 1 with 339 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas types, about 200 of them Shaheds.

Ukrainian officials said air defenses destroyed or suppressed 298 enemy drones. At the same time, 20 strike drones hit targets at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at five locations.
