Russian forces launch missile and drone strikes on three Ukrainian regions

The strike on Odesa was part of a larger pattern of attacks using Kh-59 missiles, though earlier attempts had been successfully intercepted.

Air-raid alerts were issued in a number of Ukrainian regions overnight in response to Russian attacks with various weapons, including three Iskander-M ballistic missiles, two S-300/S-400 and two Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missiles, as well as with two Orlan-10 reconnaissance drones, and a Supercam drone launched from Russia’s Belgorod Oblast and the Black Sea.

According to Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, the drones and both Kh-59/Kh-69 missiles were shot down.

At least two explosions were reported in the city of Sumy and another explosion in Konotop in the northeastern Sumy Oblast.

The southeastern administrative center of Zaporizhzhya also came under Russian attack.

The number of casualties from the attacks is still being determined.
