The Russian occupation authorities in Luhansk oblast are planning to place 16-year-old boys on the "military register," according to Luhansk Oblast Governor Artem Lysohor.

The head of the OVA claims that the so-called "commissions" will start working in the occupied territory of the Luhansk region as early as January 10, 2024. The occupation administration gave them broad powers so that they would have time to cope by March 31, when the "presidential elections" will occur in Russia.

The Governor also claimed that the invaders will identify older men who have been bypassed the military commissariats since the occupation, and they will be accounted for by December 31.

Enterprises, institutions and organizations were involved in this work in order to obtain the necessary personal data of men.

"Educational institutions, in particular, must ensure the urgent attendance of young men at military commissariats," he added.

Lysohor claims that men will be sent to neighboring districts for medical examinations, and residents of Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Kreminna, Svatove, and Troitske will be ordered to register for military service in other cities.
