Russian state corporation Rostec announced that it has delivered another batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defense, which were transferred to the troops after final testings, Rostec reported on June 17.
Su-34s make up “an important part of striking power of
Russia’s frontline aviation.”
According to Rostec, the Su-34 fighter is designed to
destroy ground and air targets, infrastructure facilities covered by air
defense systems and located at a considerable distance from the airfield.
In addition, the Su-34 can operate during fire and
electronic countermeasures day and night, in simple and difficult
meteorological conditions, state-owned company claims.
Rostec also said that Russia is allegedly increasing
production of these aircraft.
Russia uses Su-34 fighter-bombers to strike the territory of Ukraine.
