A Russian airstrike on Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast on Sept. 20 sparked a 4,800-square-meter fire at a two-story educational facility and injured two people,
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said on Sept. 21.
The agency said Russian forces dropped two aerial bombs on a residential area, injuring a man and a woman and damaging four apartment buildings, five vehicles and other civilian infrastructure.
Rescuers assisted the injured, forced open an apartment door to free people trapped inside and extinguished a large fire covering 4,800 square meters at a two-story educational facility.
Suspilne, citing the head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, reported that the attack occurred at about 11:19 a.m. on Sept. 20, when Russian forces struck an evacuation center in Kramatorsk.
