Conductor injured, trains damaged in Russian strike on Kharkiv railway station

According to Ukrainian Railways, there were no casualties reported.
Two locomotives, as well as freight and passenger cars, were damaged. There was also damage to tracks and power supply facilities.
Suburban train schedules were adjusted to accommodate the damage. Long-distance trains continue to run using backup diesel locomotives.
Kyiv and its surrounding oblast were placed on air alert three times on August 1: initially due to the threat of ballistic missiles and subsequently because of Russian UAVs. Explosions were heard, and air defense systems were activated. As a result of the drone attack, two people were injured — a man and a woman.
NV's law enforcement sources reported that in Kyiv Oblast, a UAV damaged the house of Russian oppositionist Ilya Ponomarev. The former politician and his wife were injured.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M ballistic missiles and suicide drones. Air defense forces destroyed all detected drones.
