Russia attacks key energy facilities in Odesa Oblast, leaving 350,000 households without power

The company said the disruptions also affected critical infrastructure and electric public transportation.

As soon as the security situation allowed, crews from DTEK Odesa Grids began restoring power. Electricity has so far been restored to 177,000 households, the company said.

Russian forces also damaged a DTEK Odesa Grids facility, including vehicles and an office building.

Eight people, including a child, were injured in a massive Russian strike on Odesa on Sept. 2. A 24-story residential building was damaged, with apartments destroyed on several floors. Office buildings and two educational institutions in several districts were also partially destroyed.

Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper later said a 5-year-old child was among those injured. Civilian and energy infrastructure was targeted in the overnight Russian attack. Two lyceums, a five-story business center and warehouses were damaged.
