Russian forces launched a combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi Oblast overnight into Feb. 7, damaging a house and injuring a man, according to regional governor Serhiy Tiurin.

A private home was damaged in the strike. A 54-year-old man sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized; his condition is satisfactory.

Air defense forces were active in the region during the attack, downing several targets. More details will be provided later. Tiurin urged residents to remain in shelters as the air raid alert continued across the oblast.

Russia fired cruise and ballistic missiles along with numerous drones at Ukraine overnight. Explosions were reported in Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and the Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Lviv, and Rivne oblasts.

Emergency power outages were imposed in Kyiv and most Ukrainian oblasts.

Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said Russia struck the Burshtyn thermal power plant in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, the Dobrotvir thermal power plant in Lviv Oblast, as well as substations and high-voltage lines that form the backbone of Ukraine’s power grid.
