Russian forces attacked the center of Pryluky in Ukraine’s Chernihiv Oblast, setting the city council building on fire, public broadcaster Suspilne reported on April 7.
Three loud explosions were heard in the city.
According to Regional Governor Vyacheslav Chaus, the enemy targeted administrative buildings in both Pryluky and the nearby city of Novhorod-Siverskyi.
Local authorities are assessing the damage and verifying the number of casualties.
This attack follows a series of strikes on energy infrastructure the previous day, causing widespread power outages across Chernihiv Oblast.
