46 Russian drones shot down by Ukrainian defense forces overnight

Ukraine’s Defense Forces shot down two guided missiles and 46 enemy UAVs, with 15 drones failing to reach their targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Jan. 25.

From 7 p.m. on January 24, Russian forces launched two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 61 Shahed strike UAVs, along with drones of various types, from the Black Sea airspace and several Russian regions, including Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the downing of two guided missiles, 46 UAVs, and drones in several oblasts, including Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Kirovohrad by 9:30 a.m.

The downed UAVs caused damage in Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi oblasts, affecting buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure. In Cherkasy, a critical facility was damaged, leaving some residents without power.
