Kyiv Mayor urges residents to leave amid severe utility damage

Klitschko urged residents to temporarily leave the city if they have access to alternative sources of heat and power. City services are operating in emergency mode, and difficult weather is expected in the coming days.
Hospitals, maternity clinics, and other social institutions have been connected to mobile boiler rooms. Utility and energy workers are working around the clock to restore electricity and heating to homes.
"We are doing everything we can to do this as quickly as possible. However, last night's combined attack on Kyiv was the most devastating to the capital's critical infrastructure," the mayor wrote.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces launched a barrage of 278 drones and missiles at Ukraine’s densely populated areas and critical infrastructure facilities overnight, killing at least four people and injuring dozens of others in Kyiv.
The Ukrainian capital and its suburbs were the main targets of the attack.
