Russian attacks kill two, wound four as 17 Sumy Oblast communities come under fire

Two people were killed and four others wounded in Russian strikes on Sumy Oblast, Ukraine’s National Police reported on June 14.

Seventeen communities in Sumy Oblast came under Russian fire over the previous day. Russian forces used guided bombs, attack UAVs, FPV drones, artillery and mortars, police said.

In the Bilopillia community, a 64-year-old woman was killed in Russian drone strikes, and two men, ages 51 and 66, were wounded. In the Seredyna-Buda community, a 57-year-old woman was killed when a UAV struck a house.

A 69-year-old man was wounded in the Myropillia community when a Russian drone struck his bicycle. In the Sumy community, a 44-year-old man was also injured in a drone strike.

Russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine overnight into June 14, starting at 6 p.m. on June 13, with 98 Shahed-type attack UAVs, including jet-powered variants, as well as Gerbera, Italmas and Parodiya-type decoy drones launched from five directions.
