Russia’s Gatchina City Court has ordered the arrest of artist Anastasia Dyudyayeva and jeweler Alexander Dotsenko until Feb. 29 for distributing leaflets in the Ukrainian language, Russian media OVD-Info said on Jan. 24.

The couple is charged with “incitement to terrorism” under Part 1, Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code. They were detained on Jan. 24 after a search and taken in for questioning, spending the night in pre-trial detention awaiting court proceedings.

The investigation alleges that Dyudyayeva created Ukrainian-language leaflets with the phrase “Putin to the gallows” and distributed them in a store, said Yekaterina Gordienko, Dyudyayeva’s lawyer.

Russian security forces claim to have found sketches of the leaflets during a search of the couple’s residence.

Last week in Russia, a court sentenced 61-year-old civilian pilot Igor Pokusin, born in Odesa, to eight years and one month in prison for attempting to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
