Russian forces carried out a drone attack on an administrative building in central Chernihiv on the morning of July 21, causing a fire in the structure.
The resulting blast wave damaged the nearby building of the Chernihiv Collegium National University, blowing out windows and doors and causing internal damage to the structure closest to the epicenter of the impact. The full structural damage is still being assessed.
A 76-year-old woman sustained blast injuries, acoustic trauma, and an acute stress reaction during the morning attack.
It should be noted that Russia’s large-scale missile attack on Kyiv on July 19 destroyed the Konvi Group printing plant, burning nearly 250,000 ninth-grade textbooks ready to be shipped to schools and about 350,000 partly finished books.
