Russian drone attack on Kherson suburb bus kills 2, injures 16

Russian invaders struck a bus in a suburb of Kherson with a drone attack, killing two people and injuring 16 others, Kherson regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on Telegram on Aug. 9.

The victims were two men. Six injured people were hospitalized.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that the occupiers struck a minibus around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 9. At that time, the vehicle was traveling in the suburbs of Kherson.

All those injured during the shelling were inside the minibus. Among the wounded, two people are in serious condition.

On Aug. 2, Russian invaders dropped two guided aerial bombs on Kherson. As a result of the strikes, a road bridge connecting the Korabel neighborhood with the rest of the city was damaged.

On Aug. 3, Russian troops launched a repeated airstrike on the bridge. City authorities are evacuating residents from the Korabel district.
