Russian drone debris damages high-voltage networks in Kyiv Oblast – DTEK

On Nov. 8, debris from Russian drones damaged high-voltage power lines in Kyiv Oblast, according to DTEK in a Telegram update.

The company noted that energy workers quickly switched all homes to backup power, and there were no outages in households.

DTEK also emphasized that the damaged lines require repairs, and energy crews are working on-site.

In the night of Nov. 8, air raid alerts were declared in several oblasts due to a Shahed drone attack. In Odesa, one person was killed and nine others injured as a result of a strike by explosive drones.

In Kyiv Oblast, four people were injured by falling debris during a Russian missile attack. Additionally, Russia launched KAB bombs at a high-rise building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv and at the city center. At least 25 people were injured in the damaged building.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Ukrainian troops shot down 62 of the 92 drones and four of the five missiles used by Russia in the overnight attack on Ukraine.
