Russian attack hits two districts in Kharkiv, strike reported near apartment block

Russian forces attacked the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv with a Shahed drone, wounding people, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on March 25.

Later, the Kharkiv mayor said a strike was recorded near a residential building in the Kholodnohirskyi district. Cars caught fire, with nine damaged and three completely destroyed. Windows in apartments were shattered. There were casualties.

In the Novobavarskyi district, a strike hit a private residential area. A gas network was damaged, and a house roof caught fire. Windows were blown out in several private and apartment buildings. There were also casualties.

In total, four people are known to have been injured.

Overnight into March 25, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 147 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of UAVs, more than 80 of them Shaheds.

Ukraine’s air defense neutralized 121 drones over the north, south and east of the country. As a result of the attack, 24 Russian drones hit targets at 18 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at three locations.
