At 12:16 a.m., Romania scrambled two F-16 fighter jets to monitor the airspace.
At 12:44 a.m., a drone downed by Ukrainian air defense entered Romanian airspace for 4 kilometers. The UAV fell 2 kilometers from the village of Parkes in Tulcea County.
A specialized vehicle from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and Defense Ministry teams were dispatched to the site, where they found an area of burned vegetation and UAV debris.
Romania’s Defense Ministry said no material damage or casualties were reported.
Ukraine’s Air Force said that overnight Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 153 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of UAVs, about 100 of them Shaheds. Air defense shot down or suppressed 130 enemy drones.
On March 25, Estonia reported that a drone entered its territory from Russia. It struck a power plant chimney in the village of Auvere in the Ida-Viru region in northeastern Estonia.
Estonian authorities later said the drone that struck the power plant chimney was a Ukrainian UAV that had been affected in Russian airspace and went off course.
