A Russian drone struck an evacuation team from the Proliska humanitarian mission in Donetsk Oblast on March 20, leaving one killed and others injured, mission head Yevhen Kaplin said.

The evacuation crew was struck by a drone in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, he said.

“Unfortunately, there are wounded and one person killed. We are now doing everything possible to get the injured to the hospital,” he said.

Kaplin said further details would be released later.

On Nov. 20, 2025, Russian forces struck an evacuation vehicle with an FPV drone near Lyman in Donetsk Oblast, injuring an American volunteer from the Plain Compassion Crisis Response organization.

Ukrainian police officers and a journalist were also inside the vehicle, which burned completely after the strike.
