Russia strikes Bucha and Slavutych, cuts power to Chornobyl

A Russian drone strike set fire to a former sanatorium in the Kyiv suburb of Bucha overnight on Oct. 2, the State Emergency Service (SES) reported on Telegram, posting photos of the aftermath.
A 50-year-old man was injured in the attack and suffered a shrapnel wound to his leg. He was hospitalized in stable condition.

The blaze engulfed around 600 square meters of the two-story building before firefighters extinguished it at 2:13 a.m. EET.
Earlier that night, a drone strike hit an energy facility in Slavutych, cutting off electricity to around 20,000 residents.

The Energy Ministry confirmed that the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant also lost power temporarily, though it was restored after approximately three hours.
