Russian drone strike hits funeral convoy near Sumy, killing one

At 1 p.m., Oleh Hryhorov said a man wounded in the Russian attack on the outskirts of Sumy had died. Authorities are still working to establish his identity.
Hryhorov earlier reported that another person had been seriously wounded and was undergoing surgery. The number of injured rose to nine, he said.
According to Hryhorov, the victims are receiving medical assistance, with one person preliminarily reported to be in serious condition.
He added that the circumstances and consequences of the incident are still being clarified.
Meanwhile, head of the Sumy City Military Administration Serhii Kryvosheienko said the funeral procession had been targeted by an FPV drone, preliminarily identified as fiber-optic controlled.
According to Kryvosheienko, the explosion occurred on a road next to a bus, injuring four people.
On May 21, Russian forces carried out a massive artillery strike on Sumy, hitting residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. Six people, including a child, were injured in the attack.
