Invaders target critical infrastructure in Sumy Oblast with Shahed drone strikes

Critical infrastructure in Sumy Oblast was damaged in a Shahed drone attack, according to local officials on Jan. 13.
Authorities reported that a Russian drone crashed on a facility in the Putyvl community in Sumy, leaving 185 settlements in the Konotop and Sumy districts without power.
Emergency crews are working to restore electricity, while critical infrastructure operates on backup power. No casualties were reported.
Earlier, Russian forces struck a children's health center in Sumy, causing a fire.

Drone attacks have targeted Ukraine since January 12, with air defense active in Kyiv and fires reported in Zaporizhzhya, where two people were injured. Ukraine’s Air Force said 110 drones were launched, with 78 intercepted.
