Russian troops launched a drone attack on a minibus in Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district on the morning of May 2, killing two people, Mayor Yaroslav Shanko reported.
A municipal utility worker and an unidentified woman died from injuries sustained in the strike. Their identities are being established.
Seven passengers — six men and one woman — were injured, four of them municipal employees. All the wounded were hospitalized with blast injuries, the mayor added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the Russian strike on the minibus as a “brutal human safari” in Ukraine’s frontline and border localities. He confirmed that seven people remain hospitalized and two have died.
