Russian strike hits Kyiv Oblast energy sites, injuring civilians and damaging homes, cars

He said Russian strikes hit both civilian areas and energy infrastructure in Oblast.

In Vyshhorod district, a woman was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound to her thigh and is receiving necessary medical care. The State Emergency Service added that four people were injured there by falling drone debris.

Private homes and vehicles were damaged in the Boryspil and Vyshhorod districts. Mykola Kalashnyk emphasized that all emergency services are working on site, documenting and addressing the aftermath of the attacks.

“The terrorist state deliberately targets critical infrastructure, trying to leave us without power and heat. It strikes civilian areas at night, aiming to intimidate and spread panic. It will not succeed,” he said.

According to the State Emergency Service, Obukhiv and Bucha districts were also targeted. Firefighters extinguished fires at infrastructure facilities caused by missile strikes. Casualty and damage reports are being updated.

Russia carried out a new combined strike on Ukraine’s energy facilities overnight, prompting emergency power outages in several oblasts, the Ministry of Energy said. In Dnipro, a Shahed drone hit a building, killing one person and injuring ten others, including two children.

On the evening of Nov. 7, Russian drones attacked Odesa Oblast, damaging an energy facility in the south and sparking a fire.

Overnight on Nov. 8, Shahed drones struck Kyiv’s Pechersky district, igniting two fires that destroyed trucks and damaged buildings. Explosions were also reported in Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts.

Russia launched 45 missiles and nearly 460 drones across Ukraine overnight, about 300 of them Shaheds. There were 26 confirmed missile strikes and 52 drone hits across 25 locations.
