The Ukrainian city of Sumy and its suburbs are in a partial blackout after a Russian drone attack in the morning, regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported on Telegram on Oct. 7.
The attack targeted a civilian infrastructure facility in Sumy's Zarechnyi district and damaged a nearby residential neighborhood. There were no reported casualties.
On the evening of Oct. 6, Hryhorov reported that the electricity supply was being restored to all districts of another city in Sumy Oblast, Shostka, which had suffered power outages after a series of previous Russian attacks.
“Some houses already have a stable power supply, while others are operating under temporary schedules,” the governor said. He added that the gas supply had been almost completely restored and that communications and mobile internet were functioning at "almost 100%."
