In the Shostka district, one of the drones hit the so-called “Invincibility Carriage,” a shelter, warming and recharge point used by residents amid widespread blackouts and heating disruptions.
A nearby railway building, a diesel locomotive, and energy infrastructure were also damaged. One station attendant was injured.
Russian drones also targeted a railway station in the Okhtyrka district, damaging technical facilities and tracks. Although train traffic in Sumy Oblast continues, Ukrzaliznytsia said passengers near Shostka are being transferred to buses for safety.
The attack came amid a broader Russian air assault overnight, which included two ballistic missiles and more than 180 drones.
