The casualty toll from a Russian airstrike on an Epicentr hypermarket on the outskirts of Odesa has risen to nine, regional governor Oleh Kiper reported on August 16.
“A husband, wife, and their 8-year-old son who were inside the shopping center requested medical assistance,” he said.
Russian Shahed drones struck and destroyed an Epicentr hypermarket on the outskirts of Odesa on August 16.
Emergency workers responded to the scene and contained the resulting fire despite renewed air raid alerts and the threat of Russian “double-tap” strikes.
The attack also struck a Nova Poshta warehouse, two houses, two vehicles, and a gas line.
