Russia rains terror on Kharkiv: 11 injured, massive fires, widespread damage – Photos, video

At least 11 people, including a 5-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, were injured in a massive Russian drone attack on the densely populated areas of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv late on March 26, regional Governor Oleh Synehubov reported on Telegram the following morning.

The attack was focused on civilian infrastructure and the residential neighborhoods of the Slobodskyi and Kyiv districts.

“Inthe  Slobodskyi district, a warehouse was hit and a fire broke out there,” said Dmytro Chubenko, a spokesperson for the regional prosecutor's office, adding that in the Kyiv district an industrial site, civilian enterprises, a football field, a recently built 16-story building, and private residential houses were targeted.

The State Emergency Service (SES) posted photos of the aftermath, reporting 4 fires, including one at an area of 2500 square meters, as well as numerous damages and destruction in various parts of the city. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack are ongoing.

"Russia does not seek peace, Russia continues to terrorize Ukraine by attacking peaceful cities," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote on Telegram, posting a video of a massive blaze.
