Russian forces launch 200 drones in overnight attack against Ukraine

Russian forces launched drone strikes from: Orel, Kursk, and Millerovo in Russia; from occupied Donetsk; and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

As of 08:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or neutralized 187 enemy UAVs.

UAVs made impact at seven locations with debris from shot-down targets falling in three locations.

The Air Force warned that the Russian attack was still underway. Russian drones struck warehouses and a gas station in Kyiv’s Obolonskyi and Darnytskyi districts.

The attack on Kyiv continued well into the morning, with the city’s administration warning of active air defense fire over the capital. Local monitoring groups reported jet-powered drones flying over Kyiv and possible strikes near the Shuliavka neighborhood and the Kyiv Zoo. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a drone struck an office building in the city’s Solomianskyi district.

Independent monitoring channels reported that Russian forces struck an Ukrnafta gas station on Bazhana Avenue in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. The attack marked the fourth strike on an Ukrnafta station in Kyiv since September 10.
