An overnight Russian airstrike triggered an ammonia leak in Kyiv after hitting a 300-liter tank, local authorities reported on August 5.
The attack damaged the tank and caused the substance to leak. Emergency crews are working at the scene to contain the chemical hazard.
The barrage on Kyiv struck more than seven locations across the Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, Desnianskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts, killing one woman and wounding 12 others.
The airstrike targeted civilian infrastructure and triggered a large-scale warehouse fire. Search and rescue operations remain underway in the Holosiivskyi district.
