Ukraine intercepts all Russian missiles and drones launched at Kyiv on Dec. 11

All 18 Shahed drones launched from Crimea and 8 ballistic missiles launched from Russia’s Bryansk Oblast were neutralized, the Air Force reported.
The Shahed-136/131 drones were launched from the occupied Crimean sits of Chauda and Belbek. Ukraine’s air defense forces neutralized all the drones, with most being shot down over Ukraine’s Mykolaiv Oblast.
Russian forces targeted Kyiv and its surrounding areas with 8 ballistic missiles from the north, likely from Russia’s Bryansk Oblast, , around 4 a.m. on Dec. 11. All 8 missiles were intercepted by Ukrainian air defense missile units.
Intercepted drone debris fell in the capital region, causing damage and injuries, reported, Kyiv regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko. Emergency services are actively responding to the situation and assessing the aftermath of the missile attack.
Residential buildings were destroyed in the Bortnychy neighborhood. Four residents sustained injuries, including a 32-year-old man with shrapnel wounds to his lower limbs, and women aged 60, 33, and 31, who have acute stress reactions. Immediate medical assistance was provided on-site.
Photographs capturing the aftermath of the attack were shared on Telegram by the Mykola Kalashnik, the acting head of the local administration.
Windows in several buildings were shattered, and ongoing efforts by rescue teams, explosive experts, and investigative units are underway.
